Course bookings are subject to the following conditions:

Booking confirmation

Your place is guaranteed once payment has been received. Once we have processed your booking, and taken payment we will send you a confirmation email with an attached invoice. Bookings made less than 21 days prior to the start of the course will require immediate payment. Once payment has been processed no refunds will be made within 14 days of the course start date

Course places cannot be guaranteed until payments have been cleared.

Debit/Credit card payments must be made over the phone by calling 0800 0910231.

If paying by cheque or bank transfer the booking will be held pending payment clearance and will     be considered as a provisional booking until payment has cleared.

Debit/credit card details via email will not be accepted under any circumstances

All DFMS Ltd training courses listed on the website are subject to VAT at the current rate which is 20% and is included in the quoted prices. Course fees include tuition on the day(s) and all relevant course materials. Hot and cold drinks are provided.

Course discounts

Where any discount is advertised or offered it applies to DFMS Ltd training courses only. The discount is not available in conjunction with any other offer and places will be subject to availability and exclusively to the terms of the offer at that time.

Special Requirements

DFMS Ltd will make every effort to accommodate special requirements and reasonable adjustments that have been notified in advance on the booking form and followed up in writing within 5 working days of the initial notification.

Joining Instructions

Joining instructions including outline of the day, ID requirements, venue details, map and local hotels details will be issued approximately two to four weeks prior to the course. If you have not received your joining instructions three days prior to the training course, please call +44 (0) 1606 855841. DFMS Ltd will not be held responsible for non-receipt of joining instructions and refunds will not be issued under such circumstances.

All awarding body identification compliance details must be correctly provided on the first day of your course starting. Any personal identification found to be incorrect may result in your course being cancelled.

Some courses involve elements of Physical Intervention and relevant medical conditions will need to be disclosed at the time of booking.

Course transfers

Should your booking date no longer be suitable once confirmed, please just let us know and if we have the availability and it is 21 days before your booked course date we can date transfer your booking to a more convenient date. If you booking is within the 21 day prior period we reserve the right to apply a £25 admin charge to cover the cost of transferring your booking to an alternative date. No refund of course fees will be made in the event of a date transfer which is then subsequently cancelled. No more than one transfer will be allowed per candidate. Requests to transfer a course must be made in writing and can be sent by email to

Cancelling your place

If you notify DFMS Ltd in writing (via letter or email) up to 21 days before the start date of a course, you will receive a full refund less an administration fee of 20% (plus VAT) of the course fee. If you withdraw for whatever reason within the 21 day period, the full fee will remain payable. Nominations of a substitute attendee can only be considered more than 14 days prior to the course start date, this is to be carefully considered when checking criminal convictions with the SIA in terms of a possible licence refusal as once you have booked and paid for your course, other than the terms above, refunds will not be allowed.


If you fail to attend the course on which you are booked and have not given prior notice to DFMS Ltd then the course fee will remain payable in full and no transfer or refund will be allowed under any circumstances.

Cancellation by DFMS Ltd

Where circumstances dictate, DFMS Ltd reserves the right to alter published programmes, trainers, fees or venues without prior notice. In the unlikely event of a course being cancelled, a refund of the course fee will be made but no compensation will be paid for any additional costs incurred.


Details of the specific venue and its location will be sent to candidate in our joining instructions for all training courses.

Dress code

There is no general dress code, however most candidates choose to wear loose, smart casual clothing. Due to variable temperatures layers are advised.


DFMS Ltd does not accept responsibility for anyone acting as a result of information or views expressed on its training courses including course material. Opinions expressed are those of individual trainers and not necessarily those of DFMS Ltd.

Fair Processing Notice

When you book, attend and complete your training course/qualification with us at DFMS Ltd your personal data that we collect from you includes your contact details, date of birth and payment details, and for licence linked qualifications, your photograph, passport and driving licence details together with any other information we obtain directly from you or from third parties, (third parties would apply if your workplace books your training on your behalf) as a result of our relationship with you in our capacity as a Highfield Awarding Body for Compliance (HABC) and Edexcel Approved Training Centre and in providing goods and services to you

We will use your personal data for the purposes of uploading completed training course paperwork and details on to the relevant Awarding Bodies database, the provision of an attendance register, and for all other purposes connected with our role as an Approved Training Centre in providing goods and services to you. Where necessary, this data may be shared with appropriate authorities to confirm your identity further for example the SIA or local authority for licence linked qualifications.
